Thank you Stuart for making my mind-up! It has been well over 20 months when I sold all of my javas, the reason I sold the java's was we decided to move house, and there is not enough time to set an aviary up at the new house.

Now my family and I are more settled I have been thinking about setting
up again, I just needed some one to kick my butt! And that kick came from Stuart with the offer of two pairs of java's to start me off again (to the
wife’s delight) LOL! As it happened I was taking the children to Merseyside that weekend, so I could call in to meet Stuart for the first time and have a spy (Sorry! I meant look) at his well working bird room. The rush was now on to build a bird cage in one night, lucky form me I kept all my cage fronts from the last set-up, the only wood available to me was the door off an old wardrobe and some t/g floor boards ¾ thick, this must be the heaviest
cage I have ever made, so strong you could keep wood peckers in it!!

 This is Stuart passing
over a pair of java's he bred earlier this
 year

This is Stuart's bird room, I was impressed to see a well set-up bird room stuart has used every inch of his room to create cages, internal flights, and storage. The photo on the right shows Stuart standing next to his internal flight with thee breeding cages below, I liked the way Stuart made his flight so he could easily catch
his java's by using a internal wire door, as the java's fly to one end of the flight, he can seal off the rest of the flight
to enable him to keep the birds he needs in one small section, this idea i may use in my new set-up.
The photo on the left is a more detailed photo showing the flight, inside the flight is a large green container the java's use for bathing, also you can see the type of nest boxes Stuart uses for breeding, in the back ground you can see all the time clocks keeping the bird room working automatically, also a wall mounted heater, the birds in the show cages are the two pairs of java's Stuart had picked out form me, each java had it's hatch history with ring numbers, this is one of the good things about buying from a breeder, I have now entered all this
information onto my bird tracker software to keep aquaret breeding records when I start to breed.
The bird room is well ventilated with vents high in the apex and low on the main door keeping a good flow of air and not creating a drafty room. Along the top of the flight Stuart has made good use for storing all those birdy things we keep. The opposite side to the flight is Stuart's breeding bank (photo below) here is a bank of six breeding cages, Stuart has chicks and eggs in most nest boxes, what I do like about Stuart's website he has a up-to-date

diary page on what is going on in his bird room, I often look in to see what he is up to, have a look for yourself.
Stuart is also the proud owner of some rare Agate javas it was lovely to see these striking javas again, sadly I lost
the one I had before it ever bred, one day I may get one!
