I am a member of the JSSUK and fully support the society for all their dedicated hard work they do promoting the Java Sparrow, not just here in the UK but around the world as well, the society is open for anyone to join from the UK and oversea's. On becoming a member you will be given passwords to open the electronic (PDF File) JSSUK quarterly newsletters that the society publishes, as a member you can send in your photos and java information to be included in the newsletters this is why it's good to have oversea's input so we can all see different ways and views on keeping the Javas Sparrow, you will also have direct contact e-mail addresses for some of the UK's top Java Sparrow breeders plus much more, also you will have up to date information on how the JSSUK is moving forward in the future, there is some very positive things going to happen over the next few months, I can not say what! because the JSSUK would like to show you themselves, for a very small fee you can join and become an active member, go to their website and you can pay by PayPal and join us!

JSSUK Chairman: Steve Nesbitt

Some of you may recognize Steve form his own website Just Javas.
Steve has been involved with the
society from day one of it's start back in 2003, his love for the Java Sparrow has been with him for many years and he is truly dedicated to the Java and helping others, in fact it was Steve who started me off with Javas and website designing back in 2001. If you go to any of the big bird shows and the JSSUK have a stall there you will probably see Steve there, he will make you feel very welcome, and I am sure he will be a very good newly appointed chairman for the JSSUK.

Here is the JSSUK team preparing one of their stalls at the Stafford bird Show, at these stalls you can meet the people behind the JSSUK and have one to one talks with the top breeders from around the UK, I would love to meet some of our over sea's members at one of these stalls one day, on the photo you can see some of the top quality Java Sparrows for sale on the day
The JSSUK is run by unpaid volunteers who give up their weekends to put on these spectacular displays at the
bird shows, plus there is also many hours of work involved behind the scenes collecting information to put on their website and newsletters, the society is now looking to sponsor the Javas at a UK Zoo to assist in their day to day upkeep at the zoo, it's a society growing from strength to strength as time goes on. To see one of the big things going to happen later on in the year which I fully back! join us and see the next newsletter.

As the popularity of the java Sparrow is now growing here in the UK and across the USA, showing Java Sparrows is now a big thing with more and more new entries every year, most weeks in the Cage And Aviary paper there is a mention of the java sparrow in fact my local bird club has now a few new Java keepers, again the JSSUK has played a big part promoting the Java Sparrow, see the photos below of the size of entries at the last Stafford Bird Show.

As a JSSUK member: I respect their wishes not to display any of their newsletter contents on my website as it belongs to the society, BUT! you can freely have all the JSSUK information by becoming a member, for more information on joining the JSSUK visit their website | http://www.javasparrow.org |
