Unfortunately I do not have any plans for building
these aviaries. They where built by trial and error
Here
is my first Aviary
Time to start building the wire panels and fitting them all around
the base. Also as you can see I have a very young Thomas here helping
dad.
Here you can see all the ground work I put in
for this aviary. Including a central drain to prevent flooding,
when the aviary is washed out
Finely completed with living quarters just behind
me. All we need now is some birds. This aviary I used for budgies.
I no longer have this aviary. I built a new one.
Well here we are with the sides up and the roof
on.
I am just putting down some white stone chippings. It also hides
the drain in the center
This is the biggest aviary I have ever built. I spent weeks building
this one. You can just about see the water fall I put in with a
small pond. This photo was taken shortly after completion
Turn the water fall on! Click here
The Size Sixteen & Half foot Long Ten foot wide
Eight foot high
The Small pond The pond has koi carp in and a
few rudd. Also the birds use it to bathe in and drink out of
Inside Looking at Shed You can see the entry into the
shed, also the white thing on the post is a light I have on at night
Water fall Going The water fall is running 24hrs
every day it never stops. About 3.00 pm the Java's seem to all take
a bath at the same time most days
looking the other way Thisway you can see the
dried out branches I use for parches
A sunny Morning On this photo you can see my
small bird room, with its six breeding cages. I got a bit feed
up having to step up into my bird room so I built some narrow
decking along the front of the aviary, also it keeps my feet dry
in the winter months. It's a pity you can not hear the water fall
and birds singing.
